In clay drawings the past and the present blend together
When a young woman mixes water and clay on the roof of a Kassena house and starts drawing with it, a moving spectacle unfolds. The young woman scrambles, scribbles, clays and thus explores the history of her ancestors. She becomes a toddler again who plays with earth. With the support of a woman who sings along to the soft stringplay of N'goni, they sketch the lines that later become the walls of their house. The journey they take, brings the spectator closer to the roots of humanity.
